Bring: Sports clothes and a water bottle. Ultimate is easy to learn, fast-paced, and fun to play. Plus, it's one of the cheapest sports around. This is a great opportunity for new players to learn the throws and the basics of playing Ultimate. New players from 9-59, male and female, are welcome to join the fun. Some people have asked about age requirements. Basically - we don't have one. Our original target audience was primarily adults and youths from 15 up, however we also have a few regular participants aged between 9 and 14. Children younger than nine do not usually have enough co-ordination to play Ultimate effectively, although there are always exceptions. Ultimate is unusual in that it can work with a large differential in age and experience of the players on a team. If we get enough children for them to play a game on their own, we'll do that, otherwise we'll mix them in with the adults. Ultimate is non-contact, and players will be reminded of safety issues. |
