Update: Well we came close, but not close enough. We fell a few players short of getting enough for a competitive squad to compete at Nationals. Hopefully we’ll be able to get a team up for Mixed Nationals.
After a very quiet reception to my earlier request for expressions of interest from players wanting to play at Aus Nationals 2007, there has been a sudden flurry of interest spurred by an email from some of the Discinsonia players. Now we suddenly have the potential to get a squad over to Nats…
We still need to confirm numbers, both from here and from SA. Plus, we’ll need to qualify by competing in the Western Regionals on March 11 and securing a place. Firstly though we need to confirm who is definite, who is a maybe, and who is out.
Nationals 2007 is being held from 22nd – 25th April, at Latrobe University fields in Melbourne. Costs have not yet been finalised, they’ll be posted here as soon as they are.
