Want to try out Ultimate, but have no idea how to play? No problem!  At the WAFDA Come-And-Try beginner clinic, we teach you the throws to use, and you’ll be playing your first game of Ultimate during your first session.  It’s much easier than you think.   And it’s FREE!

The FEAR Ultimate Disc Club is running a 4-week Come-And-Try clinic at Thomas Oval in Kwinana on Mondays beginning 9th February, 2008.

Where: Thomas Oval, Tucker Street, Medina
When: Mondays, 6:00pm – 7:30pm from Monday 9th February
Cost: FREE
Bring: Sports clothes and a water bottle.

This is a great opportunity for new players to discover some different throws and learn the basics of playing Ultimate.  Experienced players are also welcome to come along to enjoy some social games.

Some people have asked about age requirements.  Basically – we don’t have one.  The target audience is primarily from 15 up, however we have had regular participants aged between 9 and 14.  Children younger than that do not usually have enough co-ordination to play effectively.

Ultimate is unusual in that it can work with a large differential in age and experience of the players on a team.  If we get enough children for them to play a game on their own, we’ll do that, otherwise we’ll mix them in with the adults.  Ultimate is non-contact, and players will be reminded of safety issues.
