FEAR Club Membership
Q: How much does it cost to become a member of the club?
A: There are three membership classes – ‘Regular’, ‘Junior’, and ‘Associate’ membership. Regular membership costs $40 per year, junior membership (up to 18 years) is $30 per year, and associate membership is only $10 per year.
Associate members are usually non-players, they get all the benefits of membership such as discounts on FEAR merchandise however they are not eligible for player benefits. Associate members can upgrade their membership status to ‘Regular’ simply by paying the difference in membership rates.
Junior members get all the same benefits as as regular members, however they can’t vote at the AGM and similar meetings, and can’t hold office positions.
Q: How do I become a member of the club?
A: Just fil in the membership form and pay the membership fee at any club event or training session. All memberships expire on 1st May and must be renewed after that date.
Q: What do I get for my money?
A: Apart from the right to brag to your friends that you are a member of the coolest Ultimate Club in the whole world, you also get:
- participation in FEAR club training/games sessions
- reduced fees for weekly league
- discounts when buying club merchandise
- as many other benefits as we can give you
Associate members obviously don’t get reduced league/tournament entry fee benefits, because they don’t play.
Q: Why should I become a member?
A: The WA Flying Disc Association is moving to a model where certain WAFDA-run events are open only to members of an affiliated club. If you want to play at PUL, Phoenix, or Regionals, you need to be a member of a club. Which club is up to you of course – there are many clubs, but there is only one FEAR!
