FEAR wins Spirit, Female MVP, and 5th in PUL29 Print E-mail

Congratulations to our PUL 29 team who, after a season of highs and lows - well, almost all lows - finished in 5th place after Murdoch was unable to field a full team for the 5th place playoff.

FEAR was also awarded the Spirit prize, and Sabrina Moro was elected the Female MVP for the league.  Congratulations to Sabrina on her consistent performances week to week, and to the whole team for keeping up the Spirit for the duration of the league.

The Fear team didn't officially win any games during PUL29, despite the apparently poor record there were few games where Fear was trounced.  Most games were relatively close, and the team became more competitive during the season as those players newly graduated from SUL gained more and more experience.

By picking up a forfeit win from UWA, who then went on to forfeit a couple of other games and with those a couple of ladder points, Fear managed to edge their way out of last place and into the 5th/6th place playoff.  Unfortunately, Murdoch was then able to field a team for the playoff which was a shame because we were really looking forward to playing against Murdoch again.  Our last couple of games against MUD had been great spirited and close games, we were looking forward to another such game.  Given our current form we were hopeful of getting our first 'legitimate' win in this final. Not to worry, the win is ours!

Thanks to all players who were part of the team for PUL29. And now, it's time to start getting ready for PUL30!
